                                                                Japanese Speech Contest

This coming May 24th, the 55th gJapanese Speech Contest for Foreignersh will be held in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. For more details please see below.

This is one of the most prestigious speech contests in Japan. After the contest has ended, the speeches will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV, and the best speeches will be studied by Japanese junior high school and high school students as part of their Japanese language curriculum. This is a rare opportunity to send a message to the entire country, so if youfre interested, please apply using the contact details below.

Criteria for applying
1.The applicanths native language
   must be a language other than Japanese.
2.The applicant must be at least 15 years old on the day of the contest.
3.The applicant must not have previously received
   the Foreign Ministerfs Prize or the Education and Culture Ministerfs Prize
