This past Sunday March
15th, we held this yearfs eGames from around
the World (Sekai no Asobi) event at Kanoya
Elementary Schoolfs gym hall.
On the day we gathered 70 parents and
children to learn about childrenfs games
from eight different countries.
During the first hour, participants
experienced the following games:
Thailandfs eGaa Fau Kaif (eAngry crow
defends its eggsf)
The United Kingdomsfs eShove Hafpennyf
The Philippinesf eExchange the basketf
Irelandfs eWizards, giants and goblinsf
The USAfs eWhatfs the time Mr. Wolf?f
After these games, we all joined together to
play two larger games, Japanfs eOodama
korogashif (Rolling the big ball), and
Mexicofs ePinata whackingf. Judging by the
reactions of the children who took part,
they had a lot of fun playing the games and
meeting the non-Japanese instructors.
